Our inventory levels are incredibly low…

It continues to be a solid seller’s market with a void in inventory and this is reflected in Ridgefield’s market stats. The median price for February dipped from 850K vs last years 650K, a -24% decrease. This dramatic change was due to the over 1 Million Dollar priced homes sold in ’21 vs ’22. last year we sold

30 units vs 13 this month. We need inventory!

There continues to be a healthy pool of buyers in all price points ready to jump in and if you are one of them be prepared and work with a experienced agent.

As predicted mortgage interest rates are creeping up.

Rents will continue to rise, increases will remain about 5% pushing many people to see the benefit in buying.

Our inventory levels are incredibly low…

and the snowy icy conditions are not stopping showings. It continues to be a solid seller’s market with a void in inventory. There is a healthy pool of buyers in all price points ready to jump in and if you are one of them be prepared and work with a experienced agent.

The forecast for mortgage interest rates is to rise along with inflation during the first part of the year towards 3.75%. With Fed action, softer stock market and slowing economic conditions, interest rates should head lower in the second part of the year towards 3%.

Rents will continue to rise, increases will remain about 5% pushing many people to see the benefit in buying.

As we close out 2021, and it is now in our rearview, mirror we are all wondering what the 2022 housing market will look like. Fortunately, we don’t have to be a fortune teller to predict what type of year is ahead. Based on data and market trends we will continue to have a solid seller’s market with a void in inventory. So for those of you looking to sell, you did not miss the boat and if you are serious about selling, jump in. Spring buyers are just around the corner and the buyer pool from 2021 continues to pounce on any new inventory hitting the market.
